Today I’m talking to the fabulous Sam Wills who’s probably better known to you as his creation the silent stand-up comedian The Boy With Tape On His Face.
Sam met me for breakfast on the second of his two nights at the Norwich Playhouse.
We talk about trolls, how he writes his shows people ripping off his act, his time as a street performer, why Edinburgh is so important to him America’s Got Talent and his obsessive ambition and much more. The podcast starts with us jumping straight into the conversation as Sam describes to me the way at the start of his show he watches the audience coming from on stage and then just walks in to the audience. So relax and enjoy The Breakfast Club.
Mentioned in the show is Sam’s wife Lili La Scala’s incredible version of Radiohead’s Creep. You can watch it here:
Lili’s website is http://www.lililascala.com
I also mention the “Cabariot” video which you can see here:
Sam’s website can be found here: http://tapeface.tv
And I also think you might find this clip of Sam before he was Tapeface amusing.
